🤔💭I wonder if Wes could update y’all’s boost tooling to resolve Nostr addresses as I tend to boost this show from Fountain simply because it also posts to Nostr. I wonder if the the tooling could also use info Fountain includes in boosts to make that easier. That would help with truncated boosts from here too since Nostr notes can be way longer than boosts natively support.

From what I’ve learned thus far, it feels to me like there are other things at play that generally line up on 4 year intervals rather than #bitcoin itself having a 4 year cycle. Primarily, I think what you’ve laid out previously about the liquidity market being the driver is key.

Who is not used to this 4 year cycle by now? Anyone who still believes Bitcoin move 50% lower = death is a fool. We’ve been through this 4 times and 16 years now

Loved the Gaming episode! I'm more of a competitive fps player so Overwatch, The Finals, and Splitgate for me. Like Brent I have never played StarCraft so he's not alone. For single player games, I'm currently playing Hogwarts Legacy. Though back up your saves cause Steam Cloud can be a bit finicky with multiple devices. Nearly lost 30hrs of gameplay if it wasn't for my steamdeck being shutdown when it happened. Overall, I definitely would like to see more gaming content. Might be an excuse if you guys Livestream with peertube or owncast if that's the case. Even Zap.stream has a platform built on Nostr and Sat Streaming. Or just an episode covering selfhosted live streaming. Rehellio is my tag on Steam if anyone is curious. Can't wait to see ya over at LFNW!

Re: Would I spend my sats at a store with Square that’s offering the option of paying in BTC? Absolutely, but I’d do it via the cash side of the Strike app where I pay the invoice straight from my checking account. I’d do it every time simply to help normalize paying that way.

When a thing has a trillion dollar cap , it won’t keep having hyper growth. 126K pretty much should of been expected. Growth slows every cycle, stop promoting we will randomly have 2013 growth again, it’s silly.

Okay sending a boost cause I didn't realize my wallet ran out of sats. DERP moment. With regard with the last episode with crush it really resonated with me cause I'm currently using Warp Terminal and Claude to go through all my markdown notes and clean them up. Plus it help me learn how to research and tech it to use ddgr and lynx to breakdown information and give me summaries. It took me about a week though to get the rules tune cause it like trying to guide a toddler. Anyways I'm warming up to the idea of using llms as a tool to solve problems and document work process that I can reference later. Anyways love U guys! 🙃

I am really interested in bcachefs, but I think it’s perfectly acceptable for the maintainers to kick it if the maintainer is a jerk. I’ve worked with really smart jerks and it just isn’t worth it. These Bitcoin podcasts are running out of content. The dollar index is at 96, it was 79 in 2011, we are not at even close to lows. Inflation was 10% in 2022, it’s 3% now, but now the dollar is in collapse ? U guys are missing the story on why Gold & Silver are surging past year plus. It’s bigger than currency moves and in fact the dollar was at 88 on index for a month in 2018, silver was $16, your arguments are lame. It’s almost all the Bitcoin podcasts lately.

Everyone’s freaking out about the dollar, And I don’t think it’s because it’s going down. I think it’s why it’s going down that has everyone worked up. That and more in this weeks episode, enjoy! 🍻

I want someone to integrate #Bitchat bridging into the #Meshtastic firmware so you can optionally have people on both chattting away, say at a camp out or conference. Each participating Meshtastic radio would be able to support nearby people in my theoretical world.

Hey, would it be possible for you guys to shout out the Sat streamers who've stream over 2000 sats? I don't know how feasible that is, but that world be cool. My opinion is that sat streaming will probably be more important for live streaming and podcasts. Especially music podcasts. I don't like picking one specific artist to boost. I like them all sometimes.

I’m doing the sudo savings & checking accounts thing with my sats: I save at River and keep that completely separate from my boostin’ sats. I haven’t saved enough to warrant a cold card yet, but I’m thinking about how to handle that each week that I listen here. My boostin’ sats stay in Alby mostly for use with Castimatic, but I also have some at Fountain & TrueFans.

Bitcoin podcast = bad audio is usually only half true. The host's audio is usually clear as a bell while their guest's audio (most important part of the episode) sounds awful.
