20k Imho we have let the crypto skeptics get inside our heads. I think as a community we should lean into the fact that boost are powered by bitcoin. As a small business, I’m grateful to have support in a hard asset. It’s helped me fight inflation and keep my head above water. Bitcoin is an intelligence test, and I don’t need everyone in the world listening. I want a great audience, not the biggest audience possible. These are things we should lean into as a podcasting community trying to offer an alternative to mainstream crap. Go Podcasting!

I’ve definitely heard from a few listeners that would support via onchain, because that’s where they already have their stats.

2.2k I am really interested in bcachefs, but I think it’s perfectly acceptable for the maintainers to kick it if the maintainer is a jerk. I’ve worked with really smart jerks and it just isn’t worth it. To be fair, I also don’t agree with how Linus treats people, but no one has the power to change Linus, they do have the power to not perpetuate it though. I hope they work it out.

4k Bret, if you plan on doing any traveling with the van, and why have it if you're not, then I'd suggest a GMRS radio. Most truckers have switched from CB to GMRS and while you need a license to transmit, you can listen without a license. Also you have to build in a meshtastic node because.... reasons.

Personally my favorite trilogy is episode 44-45-46 go back and listen if your new here and caught on post episode 50. Starting at episode 1 makes most sense but if ur a casual listener I’m telling u 44-46 is a trilogy that should be put on CD and mailed to e dynamical citizens. Good Job Moe! You too Adam!

I recently got a call from my aunt asking me to explain bitcoin to her, I asked why, and she responded with “I just bought $500 of XRP”. I asked her where she had gotten the influence from and she responded with “TikTok”. Since I have only been into bitcoin for the better part of a year, I tried to explain the difference between Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies by sending her videos and other resources. I advised her to sell the XRP and educate herself on bitcoin before she makes any financial decisions based on emotion and outside influence. The alt coin influence is strong. Stay humble, educate your family members, and stack sats.

I love your show Chris, in fact as a simple pleb marooned in Western Europe, I rely on your take for some sanity (you and a handful of others) in the craziness. Some advice on the best cold storage options in your opinion for 25/26 would be very very useful.

While I do believe that the establishment Democrats are anti-bitcoin, I don't think the El Salvador investigation is just about the use of Bitcoin. While I'm sure the use of Bitcoin is a factor it may just be a convenient way to mask their true intention of driving a wedge between El Salvador and the current administration over the migrant detention center. Then again this is the Dems we're talking about so they may just have their "Bitcoin bad" blinders on and are just taking any opportunity to attack Bitcoin.
