20k Imho we have let the crypto skeptics get inside our heads. I think as a community we should lean into the fact that boost are powered by bitcoin. As a small business, I’m grateful to have support in a hard asset. It’s helped me fight inflation and keep my head above water. Bitcoin is an intelligence test, and I don’t need everyone in the world listening. I want a great audience, not the biggest audience possible. These are things we should lean into as a podcasting community trying to offer an alternative to mainstream crap. Go Podcasting!

20k Just wanted to say I really appreciate the work you guys do behind the scenes for the us Podcasters out here! Also +1 to the idea of putting an on-chain Address in the funding tag. I’ve definitely heard from a few listeners that would support via onchain, because that’s where they already have their stats.

Do you have any suggestions or old episodes to help new Linux users decide on distros as a daily driver?
I’m not a total Linux newbie, have been running a couple of Ubuntu servers and Linux Mint on a laptop for over a year now, but want to set up a Linux desktop as a daily driver now.
I’m looking at Pop OS for now, any suggestions appreciated.

I’d like to hear your opinion on Open Source LLMs. If an LLM is Open Source, how much can we know about the security and telemetry of that model? If the source code is visible and we can audit it, can we be reassured of what’s being logged or used for training, or is it still a black box?
I’m having a debate with a friend at the moment, he says that LLMs are black boxes, even if they are Open Source.
What say you?

4.6k I’ve finally set up a Linux desktop and am slowly in the process of making it my daily driver. I’m running Mint and hve installed Librewolf browser but can you recommend any other high value services or apps for daily use? Like notes, email, backups and file storage as a starter.

4.6k How does Nebula compare to Tailscale for the purpose of isolating a server running OpenClaw (or Hermes) in a network?
Ive built a plan to isolate a small server inside my LAN so that I can experiment with agents, one item on the plan was creating a Tailnet with only the devices I want the agent to connect to.
Can I do that with Nebula? How would that differ from using Tailscale?

Our buddy Luke Groman did a interesting interview with Joe Burnett. He equated bitcoin scarcity with the scarcity of his lakehouse property, he paid off his mortgage with the sale proceeds. Overall, he sounded defensive. He certainly went over and above to explain away his bitcoin sale.
