Curiosity question: what is the software stack of your Callisto node?

Part 2… When sentiment is low (and fuck me, it is as low as I have ever seen it), my happy place is a deep technical rabbit hole. When the price is crashing or the sky falling in, work on your skills and learn new things. Like running your own node on a self hosted Linux server. This week I’m hardening my node and learning all about reverse proxies. It really is the gift that keeps on giving and if you don’t get rich off Bitcoin, you’ll have some valuable skills to hit the job market with!

Bitcoin meetups and events are the best. Meeting other Bitcoiners IRL is like being reunited with old friends. I attend all the meetups and events I can and even travel to some. I would definitely attend a TWIB event. Thanks for the quality content every week, and for the laughs too! Gotta keep smiling (and stacking) through the bear :)

I was going to toss TWiB 100 cuck bucks for episode 100, but assumed you were like me, and would be happier having the boost hit during a dip. Thanks for all the value over the last year or so. Bear markets might suck at first, but they always motivate me to stay humble and stack harder. Saylor is right. Volatility is a gift, and I’m starting up my River supercharged hourly buys to celebrate. Might have to pause my hosted miners to stack even harder while the mining premium is soft, and switch back when prices rise. Truth is, I’m always a little sad when price starts to rip higher, and another opportunity closes to meaningfully grow my stack. As for the macro, Warsh might scare Wall Street into repricing asset markets, but my motto is “When in doubt, zoom out.” Whether Warsh wants to talk like a hawk, a dove, or a goddamn row of ducks, the math is gonna keep mathing, and the fed is still stuck between inflation as policy and a deflationary depression. I know which outcome I’m betting on, and that’s why I HODL. Bitcoin winter isn’t that bad out here in Hawaii, and it would be an awesome spot for a meetup. I guess we are all trying to save sats though, so I’d be happy to come out to the West Coast to meet up with others in the TWiB community. Aloha brotha, 🤙.

We have several every month, and I run one that has a monthly cadence. I don't think going to a meetup is an opsec issue. Just be mindful about what sort of personal info you're sharing with other attendees.

Great episode — your insights matter most when price is down, because that’s when signal hides behind boredom and fear. What really clicked for me is that the wrong kind of hawkishness isn’t a policy error but a structural necessity: the system now needs hawkish language to preserve credibility while remaining permanently dovish to survive. If that’s true, is Bitcoin not just a hedge against inflation, but the first asset designed for a world where monetary truth and monetary speech have permanently diverged — and if so, what catalyst finally forces that divergence to be repriced?
