    Better late than never to boost in I guess. Thank you for 5 1/2 years of great content and pushing the horizon of what's possible for all of us. I found you in the first few months, listened through the catalog immediately and you've been the first in my to listen list ever since. Understand life rolls on but count me amount the multitude that are sad to see Chris and the badger parting ways. Good luck to you all and hear you on LUP and YT for now!

    I have been listening to JB since Matt Hearly was on Linux action show. And since then I have been learning and playing with Linux and that naturally evolved into home servers. Selfhosted has been a distilled stream of inspiration that has kept me playing with my home server setup for years. I look forward to hearing Alex on LUP. But will miss the fortnightly fix of solfhosted fun! So between LUP and 2.5 Admins I’ll need to find something to help fill the void selfhosted will leave behind. Does the audience have suggestions? Thanks for years of edutainment!

    I cannot thank you both enough for the time you’ve put into the show, but all good things must come to an end and why not go out on a high? I very much learn on the go and have always struggled to hold an interest in any hobby throughout my life. This show, as well as the other JB productions has helped hold my interest with home automation and also pushed me into other areas, such as self hosting media and starting the venture into home networking. This was also helped by attending Alex’s meet up last year in Norwich, which whilst I hardly understood much of the tech talk, fuelled my interest more. Thank guys again for your time which has helped keep my hobby on course, I shall continue to enjoy all the JB shows with my membership and look forward to hearing Alex from time to time in LUP.

    Thanks for the great podcast! Really enjoyed listening to you guys <3 One Tipp I would like to share before you move away from nixos. If you are debugging/configuring something DO NOT rebuild the world! Replace the config files with local ones (home-manager) or override the services unit files via systemctl edit --runtime (services). Debug with control and not by redploying with nix over and over again.     Just had a random thought it would be cool if instead of discontinuing the podcast, it could just be a merger of sorts with LUP just did a self hosted section as part of that podcast. Obviously, I may not understand some of the things going on in the background that would keep this from being a thing.

    Sad to hear the show is coming to an end I am so thankful for the content and energy you have all invested into Selfhosted. In reply to Hybrid Sarcasms boost, OpenWebUI actually has a partial solution to a searchable obsidian vault of documentation with their Knowledge implementation. It's really easy to set up and works okay. Setting up a knowledge base in OpenWebUI can be done in the workspace. You can upload your entire obsidian vault directly through the WebUI and attach that Knowledge to a custom model based on whichever LLM you would like, ollama or API based. I only wish there was an implementation that allows syncing this from obsidian.

    I might be a bit late for this, but regarding conversation about cameras that could replace Wyze cameras. I just replaced all of mine with TP Link C200 cameras. They are extremely cheap. I paid $15 each. They have some 2K variants as well that you can get for around $20. After you set the camera up in the TP link app, you can enable the direct RTSP stream and set credentials. I am pretty happy with them so far.
