I really enjoyed the technical talk with Kent! It made me reframe the way I think about bcachefs. I liked his comment towards the end about not caring about what Facebook and other companies are doing, and only caring about writing quality code for individuals. In the past, I thought essentially the opposite. It really was only for the big players, and highly technical people, the average hobbyist don't really need to concern themselves. Surprise surprise, I'm still making my way up to the current episodes lol. Lesson for everybody, do not ever get behind! I think I've been catching up since The Bitcoin dad pod. It's been a while since we had a good old-fashioned Chris soap box! I enjoy them for no other reason than you are clearly passionate, and in this case people are actively (while maybe accidentally) advocating to keep podcasting stagnant. Keep up the good work!

Regarding GrapheneOS story in the members feed, with them not getting the OEM device tree files, I wonder if this could be a place for collaboration between ROM projects, since I doubt this problem is unique to GrapheneOS.

This was my first Linux Fest, and it was so fun! Glad I got to experience it. Definitely planning on going in the future :)

I agree with keeping the Tuxies. Even if you don't make it a multi-network ordeal, at least see if you can have it mentioned on the other network podcasts to get the voter count up? I remember in a previous year, I heard it mentioned on the Ask Noah Show. Also maybe have a split set aside for giving to the winning projects or something

Alright! I pulled the trigger! Sending my first message from graphene OS! I got the Pixel 9 Pro XL direct from the Google store, because they had a great Blank Friday sale. I'm very happy so far, and have only had a problems with one app. I bet Wes can relate, it's the same app.

You mentioned the JB website in this episode, and it reminded me of Office Hours. I know it's on hiatus, but it would be awesome to have a new episode that talks about how the websites doing, and how features like self-hosted RSS is coming along! Maybe there could be a "Office Hours Tax" on each JB show, were a small split goes to the Office Hours fund? (Also, this is a Star Trek boost, since the original is under the sat limit)
