There is a big difference if you signal shitcoins are welcome or you focus on money and discourage non-monetary use cases. There are plenty of shitcoins they can play on. Nodes and users are important otherwise it deceases to be Bitcoin and becomes captured and centralized.

Imho generische opcodes (e.g. op_cat) sind zu risikoreich und unvorhersehbar. Bei spezifischen opcodes muss möglichst sichergestellt sein dass sie nicht missbraucht werden können. Jede noch so kleine Lücke (oder Kombination von mehreren kleinen Lücken) wird von KI gefunden und ausgenutzt werden. Blockgröße ändern war immer Option aber erst wenn alles andere voll ausgenutzt und Blöcke über Jahre(?) voll. Änderungen/Features (ausser 0-day) müssen daher in Jahren oder sogar Jahrzehnten gedacht werden. Ziel: Protokoll soll 1000+ Jahre bestehen. Marke no mistakes.

Bro WTF? Everything about their theft is uncommon compared to white hat. You can’t steal and then extort, that isn’t how white hat works. There’s an inherent power balance where you’re “negotiating” with your victim of whom you stole their money. If it doesn’t have in app unilateral exit, it’s custodial, period. This is not negotiable. If something is not implemented then it simply doesn’t exist for the average user. 99.99999% of Spark users don’t even know a CLI app exists let alone how to use it. Without local caching and unilateral exit actually implemented in the app and having hard dependency on operator cooperation to exit then it’s custodial. Listen I actually like Spark and think it makes reasonable tradeoffs in a world without covenants, but as it stands it’s a custodial product. Happy to revise this once we see an actual implementation of unilateral exit and more operators and LSPs, but it’s just the honest reality today.
