It does seem like a tipping point has been reached where remote control and automation is now simple and affordable enough while still being possible to do while maintaining privacy that it's well worth making the effort to integrate.

133 Raspberry Pis are little pieces of shit, but they are fantastic for some use cases. I have some that have been running for many years consistently with no problems. It really depends on what you're trying to do with it. For always on, lightweight servers, they are fantastic. I think I currently have six that are on in another six that are currently powered off

Yes Puerto Rico is a tax haven because it's a crappy place to live and they're trying to get people with money to go there and live and invest. They do get special IRS treatment for things like trading and capital gains.
It sounds like that wasn't the issue though, the issue was that he was claiming to live in Puerto Rico when he was actually in San Francisco and he got caught doing that
