For Presence Detection; I use 24GHz motion sensors. Hooked a small USB adapter in with the light fixtures. This way I can track movement per room (area) and even detect if it's a person or a pet moving. 24GHz can detect a single finger moving. Low tech could be swiping your NFC tag. On migraines: I did some self-study and found some research with oxygen. Results seem 'inconclusive', but: closing entire room = less oxygen: bad. Also tested cooling or warming the neck & temples to alter blood-pressure. Currently testing with "masking": I drink half a glass of milk to distract my body from the migraine (lactose intolerant).
