Should have named the last episode “Cash for Clankers” - I honestly thought the title was “Clunkers” until y’all switched to robotism... Anyway, man, I have so many stories about buying or selling cars! Dealerships are the worst! We just dealt with one and it was quite a situation! This poor kid sold his first car to me and I took him on a rollercoaster of emotions!

Great Star Wars discussion! I never read the books (surprisingly) but collected the cards, played the games, and fairly recently caught up on all the old shows like Clone Wars, Rebels, Resistance and Bad Batch. Generally enjoy them all but Clone Wars likely the most. I'm a huge fan of Andor and Rogue One. I'll have to check out Picard Season 3 because I tried season 1 and can't remember if I even finished it. Never ever considered watching season 2...

Max’s American voice is hilarious. I guess we’re all gay over here... 🤣 Nice articles and readings by SoulEx, Charles, (and Jon) - I need to read Charles' article and send it to my wife. She's a social worker at the local government school but about to go into private practice. Before that she worked for the state and has placed many kids in foster care. So many times her opinion is ignored and the state gets what they want. The foster parents are pretty good in our area though. But there are MANY who sign up across the county only with the goal to abuse kids. It's incredibly hard to figure out which ones are the bad ones unless the kids come forward to a therapist or social worker. But my wife's time is spent dealing with bureaucratic BS rather than being able to actually help the kids.

I certainly feel like a LARP most of the time. But generally speaking aren’t we all LARPing as a living creature in preparation for eternity? Either spend your time here trying to be a “good” person or maybe one day you answer for your sins before the Lord himself. I do really appreciate the comment about raising girls who won't need me one day. It's my biggest goal but my greatest fear. The thought of failure or success are both terrifying. Trying to enjoy time with my children while they are kids while also ALWAYS considering their future as an adult is a juxtaposition that I don’t think most humans fully understand. Cultivate that passion within them, protect that innocence, but also ensure they fully understand the world is ready to terminate all their hopes and dreams at any moment...

I didn’t even realize Marty went on the Tom Woods Show until this - just listened to that episode after this one and came back here to boost. Good work sir! Y’all are some of the only people I listen to nearly daily on podcasts that I’ve traveled to go meet in person at a live event! Cool to hear y’all get together together! Also met Odell in Nashville too and got a drunken invite to the Park for the next day. 👀 I was the fat guy with the mustache but didn’t get to actually talk to Odell the next day. I think he forgot 🤣. Was a bit surreal with the security at the park, Harry welcomed us in, and Senator Lummis walked past me with her security mean-mugging me... lol - my wife and I left and went to the conference and Marty stopped us in the crowd to talk again. When I lost my old dog in 2013 I had just heard the song "Waiting for the End" by Linkin Park at a karaoke bar. Song came out in 2010 and I've always loved that band. Never heard of that song until that night and less than a week later the best dog in the world died. I still cry every time I hear the song.

I thought a “wanky watch" was when a brit sits down to watch a little porn!? 😬🤣😬 But in all seriousness,over the past few years I've toned down how much I talk to my friends about Bitcoin. I've realized that the risk is too high for what reward? That they buy Bitcoin? I realized it when someone new moved to the neighborhood and one of my good friends at a cookout said “oh yeah! He has a bunch of Bitcoin"..... First I was like “lower your voice" then very honestly said to him and this new guy “I just heard about it in 2020, I certainly don't have very much" which is completely true. But you never know. That little statement gets mentioned to a few more people and someone raids my house in the middle of the night for 10 BTC which a don't have. They might still threaten my family only to find out I have like 100,000 sats on a hot wallet......... Similarly, I wanna teach my kids about sound money but also have to teach them about privacy too so they don't go telling their random P.E. coach or some kid on the bus who knows where we live that “yeah my dad has a lot of Bitcoin!" (Sorry for the long boost, I sent extra sats) 🤣

I feel so bad we aren't coming to LS this year! I'm going to miss out on all these connections but have to keep telling myself my family comes first and bringing my whole clan was just not possible this time. Y'all have a wonderful time! Y'all's discussions about these opportunities to contribute are so hard at such a distance! I'll really miss the chance to maybe be part of a podcast episode! Y'all give each other plenty of hugs since I won't be there to do so myself! I feel the same way Phundamentals does about events being over. It's a psychological condition and sometimes I feel like I build up so excitement for events that I don't even actually enjoy the event itself! Y'all lock in and focus on the moment. You are correct that once it's gone, it's gone forever...
