I couldn’t agree more with your take on BIP110. The number one thing that would make me question my Bitcoin thesis is if a minority group could force its will on the majority. Core messed up big time, but I’ll take jpegs onchain over setting the precedent that a small, angry minority can push through massive consensus changes.

I also really enjoyed the New Operator episode, but I would definitely also like a first time node operator one, but I get why that would be difficult to make work. Also, think you could cover the new Core v31 mempool changes a little further in depth in one of your segments? Thanks again for the value!

A week ago a popular Bitcoin YouTuber asked his audience on Nostr whats a good Bitcoin podcast to listen to. Almost 1 in 4 people answered TWIB! I can’t imagine how busy you are, but I feel like if you were a bit more active on nostr, so many more people who align with the show and its v4v mission would become consistent listeners and boosters. Just a thought! Amazing show as always.

Thank you again for another breakdown of how ludicrous BIP-110 is. I used to be in the Knots camp, but once they moved from a node implementation to attempting to change consensus, they lost me completely. Plus the lynch mob tactics, rushed nature of the bip, and how it could stain the Bitcoin brand and even damage parts of the network, I’ll pass from joining this cult. Great work as always Chris!

First time boost from this bitcoin brokie! Massive fan of your show. TWIB has now become my favourite Bitcoin podcast, and it’s not even close. My question to you, what would be your best recommendation for a first time node? I want to run one, but am having a hard time deciding if I want to just get a prebuilt one like start 9 or umbrel or should I just buy an old thinkpad? I am interested in having a home server set-up that can also perform things unrelated to Bitcoin, and want to learn how to use Linux one day, but I am not technically inclined with this stuff.
