Trump won.
For two days all the talk was about the deal and tariffs - how they would hurt people jobs etc
As soon as he said name change all discussion of tariffs stopped and everything is he changed the name!!!
He won because no one is talking about the real issues

My dad is 83. In the last three years he has started focusing on building up fiat so he can leave a lot to the grandkids and great grand kids. He got scammed on $2k and agreed to have myself and a sister to approve any plan over $100. I thing the old lady likely was thinking the same, “I need more so I can leave it to my family because they have not had the same good life I have.” The biggest issue is he does not think through like he use to. His thinking is like a teenager, only looking at now and believing only the best can result. I think that is part of the decline humans go through.

Found my class one job when I was 42. Was able to go full time at 45. Love being a paramedic. Would do it for free. Of course money money would be nice. (Maybe a bit less overtime as well) I found it by looking at what I was doing as a volunteer and then took a part time job, then realized I like it better so applied for full time. Would I do my job for no pay if money did not matter? Yes, I did for ten years!

We also see a lot more than combat troops. I’m an army reserve member (US) and have had 8 deployments since 2002. I’ve been a EMT/paramedic in my civilan job since 1997. I have seen more gun shot wounds in EMS than in the military, and a lot more dead people. Many of those I was actively trying to save. The movie “Code 3” is very close to some of what we do, and “Bring out your dead” (nick cage) shows a lot of the emotional side of the job. (Mothet, Jugs, and Speed is just funny)

EMS (some places are part of Fire) has the highest non-combat rates of PTSD. We see, hear, smell, touch, and are part of some of the worst moments in a persons life. There is no normal shift. Interrupted sleep (if you get any), no meal breaks, no stopping to rest. Worse is the swing in calls. First run, old man slid out of recliner lift assist, then short of air 21 yo anxiety attack, then 4 yo drowning, 57 yo injuried toe possible Gangrene, 19 yo fever, overdose 37yo at club, 49 yo homeless “cold injury”, and last on shift car crash three kids not in car seats adult not buckled minor damage but serious injuries. Go home and fall asleep for four hours then go back to work. We are hireing, paramedics start at $18.00 USD

Stake n Shake jumped in stock price so much because it did a 20 to 1 reverse split (for every 20 shares you had, you got 1 new share) a lot like how nations with fiat hyper inflated money try to fix the problem, shift the Decimal point a few steps to the left in peoples bank accounts.

I agree. The only thing that matters is do you have more sats today than yesterday. I’ve joined the #365dca challenge @Jack Spirko has started. Every day I have an automatic buy set on @npub1ex7mdykw7… so I can say yes to that question. (Hoping to increase the daily to $4 us soon as the next debt is gone)

Kentucky requires you to report any gold or silver you own on 31 Dec and the value at that day. You then get to pay property tax on it. If you sell any you pay capital gains, and if you buy any pay sales tax. (The sales tax is going away in June if the legislators don’t change the law) So govs do think they can make you report your gold buys.

I use Fold. The fee gets me daily spins 5-10 sats a day ruffly 2,000 a year. Where it is worth it is the “sats back”. I get sats for every Purchase with the card. Just under 2 million last year. On things I was going to buy anyways - gas, food, groceries, comic books, utility’s - and that’s before bonus sats on gift card buys. They also let me “round up” to the nearest $1 and direct the change into buying bitcoin when that adds up to $10. It adds up. I almost match half my daily $5 buy in a year. Is it the best way to stack? Maybe not but it is not the worst way. I don’t see buying stock in the company as the same though. Every 500k I sweep it into my sparrow/coldcard wallet. So if they go under I’ve got most of mine.

In the Army my units had to account for every item and every penny. If you were issued something you had to show you had it or you got to buy a new one. Every item spent for travel each cent had to be tracked or you paid the difference. So to see at the DoD level they can’t find $1.8 trillion of equipment or even how much they paid in salary or bought.
