The elephant in the room, with regards to law & justice, is: what happens if you have a run-in with law enforcement? Do you have any rights, or are you sent straight to the gulag based on an accusation? Rule of law requires due process, and impartial, fair, public trails.
If Bukele pointed his finger at a political figure who was inconvenient for him, what are the chances that the police would refuse to arrest them without evidence? Would they get a fair trial? Freedom requires legal guarantees, otherwise you are at the mercy of people in power who decide whether you are “guilty”.

2.1k On BC Hydro: yes, its crappy that the state is now picking who gets electricity, but the unmentioned context is that there are many independent generators who sell power to BC Hydro, and are free to make their own decisions. The government just setup a mega-dam (“Site C”), and as a result no longer needs to buy from many of those smaller generators. So they are seeking new customers. Also there are many off-grid miners operating in the province, with their own generation, such as IREN.
