Chris, when using frigate on an Intel system, you can also try out the “OpenVINO” detector rather than getting a coral TPU. It utilizes the iGPU on 6th gen and later CPUs. Inference time on my 6th gen has been reliable in the sub 20ms timings (compared to the 9-10ms timings using my Coral TPU). I ran it for about 6 months when I moved frigate to a NixOS box that had issues getting the kernel modules to work properly with the PCIe coral TPU.
