Regarding the AI vibecoading, it feels to me that the distinction between core contributors to a software using AI tools or random people submitting AI written PR is important. The latter is what would annoy people that are trying to maintain a project because AI might not know anything about it. Personally I'm not a programmer but those tools help me write the code for some project I need, I take care of figuring out the infrastructure and what and how the software works, AI writes the code I do not know how to well enough. It enables a lot that was not possible before. But I know the quality is not as good as a real developer doing something similar.
