2.5k I’m working on trying to make a video player as a TUI with real video, not ASCII videos here. I’ve got a very rough prototype working that prints the controls and time elapsed. The plan is to allow jellyfin and YouTube streaming along side local videos. I hope to have enough done in time for the TUI challenge for ya fellas!

I personally think that 2024 has been a great year, at least in my piont of view, for Linux and open source. I’m using Immich hosted on Pop!_OS and the CoSMIC desktop Alpha 4. I’ve created and released my first open source project (split into two versions). I revamped the Spin Button widget for libcosmic and had it accepted as a breaking change PR and then had multiple follow up accepted PRs fixing not only the breakage I made in my libcosmic PR but bug fixes in Cosmic Settings.
