Shout @npub18ams6ewn5… for creating this #vibecoding monster I've become. Dude does a great job explaining it in his videos and lives he does.

With selfhosting your own music on a website and running a node for the payments it's hard for use to give up that control to another 3rd party. I'm still happy to test stuff but what @npub14c7ksq2wl… are doing is the end goal imo and I just don't want us to get back into being trapped by Big Music again.

The sats are cool but the message is where the real Value is.

These apps do require an Alby account to send sats but if you have AlbyHub setup give them a shot. I'm sending this from Fountain (also great) but PC 2.0 is about listeners being able to choice whatever app they want.

Great #AlbyHub coverage at the beginning of the episode. I’ve been using @npub1getal6ykt… with PC 2.0 apps for years and this change to Alby is what I’ve always wanted. As a listener I can now Boost in PC 2.0 apps with my own node. This has NEVER been possible until now with AlbyHub. AlbyHub requires some work to setup but it is an extremely powerful tool if you see their vision. Thanks for help fighting some of the FUD. 💪

Soldering is a cool and fun skill to have. I had to take a microscope soldering class for work before, that time it wasn’t fun. 🤣

I built a DIY solder radio kit in trade school and the instructors told us not to go through the tuning steps because the parts come pretuned and the kit wants you to mess them up so you can learn how to adjust them. If it ain’t broken don’t break it and try to fix it.

As someone who came into podcasting 2.0 as a podcast listener/app user I've always just been interested in seeing what works the best or who's doing cool stuff so that other people can just kind of find the best stuff out there and go from there so I just kind of filter stuff for Others and that's about it

Maybe a better comparison is taking your car to the dealership versus you know having your buddy work on it or even working on it yourself. Ones more expensive more convenient and probably safer legally or whatever and having your body when you're hopefully you trust one trust me enough to let work on your car and maybe he'll do some of the work for free. Maybe you'll have to pitch in and do some of it or if you're at work if you're working on your car yourself maybe you're watching some dude to put up a YouTube video on how to do something and you spend Six hours doing what should've taken 30 minutes but you'll learned a lot

I don't even know where the line for self hosting Falls cause it's like obviously you're renting someone's web server and you upload you know your MP3, your XML, your art and stuff where you put it in the index and then it's free for anyone to do whatever they want with and Hosting companies. Do they count? I don't know. They basically just do it for you. They do the same thing we're doing, but you have to stick to their rules because I mean they are running the business and most of the ones in 2.0 see the same vision so like you don't have to worry about getting deplatformed or censored or anything, but I don't know. Can you go in and can you add experimental tags into your RSS feed, probably not.

Big tech doesn't want you to know this, but you can just boost your thoughts into your own podcast. On the self hosting topic it all started from there because that's what the podcasts that really cared about podcasting 2.0 we're doing because they wanted ultimate control and freedom and that's just the same thing we want I mean, I don't think people don't know how easy it is or how much control or even how cheap it is. They can have control over their stuff but I mean that's really all it all it comes down to. You know, you can do it all yourself and I'm kind of jaded with different people coming and going and not really sticking around or seeing our vision so it might come off as rude or gatekeeping or offputting for some but I mean we're doing this all value for value so it's just kind of come in it's open. It's free just contribute and if people are vibing with you then they vibe with you and I've seen it happen over and over and the same people keep showing up and we know who they are so I don't know. I don't really see any problem.

episodes.fm is a great site and putting it on a QR code is a great idea. Everyone in PC 2.0 loves it so I think you don’t have to worry about it going away anytime soon if you put it on a QR code.

Cross app comments have been something talked about in PC 2.0 forever but @npub1v5ufyh4lk… is the first to do it with Nostr. I’m still on the fence with how I feel about comments in general in my podcast app but your new to this and have a fresh perspective and documenting you journey so your now my cross app comment guinea pig. 🐹
