Haven‘t been listening much recently due to travels but trying to catch up now. Good to hear you‘re going strong in spite of market conditions & keeping the torch burning. High time to boost you again ;-)

Thank you to @npub14mcddvsjs… for another excellent interview! As a longtime anglophile I‘m listening to almost every one of your episodes and this one stands out in particular because it lays out some clear tactical steps to be taken in British politics to get the UK back on track to once again become a great & prosperous country. Not all‘s gold in Switzerland, btw., but I do strongly believe (as apparently does Phil, too) that the Swiss political model has many advantages in its favour and few downsides. And I would even go as far as rephrasing Sir Winston‘s quotation that „the Swiss political system is the worst on the planet with the exception of all others that have already been tried.“ Keep up the good work & consider running for public office in your town to be able to implement changes yourself. Small steps matter & everyone with good ideas should contribute to the change needed! That‘s also one of the basics in the Swiss political system 😉

Hey, thanks for covering Vertex! It's very interesting your idea to consider analysing content and not just npubs. The problem imo is that it's going to be much much more computationally expensive, and it's hard to know if it's worth it.

Thx for another insightful episode! Regarding the distilling of personality, that story reminded me of a German researcher called Sven Gabor Janszky. He‘s been researching how the future could unfold for many years and in one of his books he‘s already got a „grandpa bot“ who‘s basically the personality of the subject‘s father. And the subject uses this bot to talk to his father in the evenings and even allows his daughter, who‘s still somehow traumatized by the loss of her beloved grandfather, to use the bot to soothe her. Interesting but quite weird IMHO! I‘d rather train an AI bot on all my Obsidian files to be faster in retrieving information buried there…

By the way, I absolutely support your take that a lot of media coverage today focusses on the negative aspects. I‘m keeping my fingers crossed 🤞🏻 As for nicotine, it‘s not addictive according to my knowledge — what‘s addictive is the myriad of other components mixed into cigarette tobacco and vaping fluids. Nicotine even helps blocking spike proteins from docking to cells. So your nicotine patches will have a doubly positive effect! I‘m looking forward to meeting your new self on the other side…

Amish, Mormons, they all focus more on family as wealth — and I guess we all could profit by taking a step back from our rat race & ask ourselves what we really cherish is life. Your take on the Urea fertilizer bottleneck and that it‘s pissing people off is apt in a unique way: urea is one of the main ingredients of urine! So instead of being pissed, all these ppl should just collect their urine & use it as fertilizer for their crops as well as themselves, but that‘s for another day when I see you on the other side…
